HOW TO GET TO CORFU
There are a few options when it comes to getting to this magical island – by car, by bus, by sea and by air.

CAR
In order to reach Corfu from Athens by car, you will need to drive to drive north of Athens to Igoumenitsa which is about 500km’s and takes about 7 hours. You will then have to take the ferry (1h 45min) to get to Corfu.

The roads on the mainland are easy to navigate and are in generally good condition. Plus, being in control of navigation allows you to stop and sightsee wherever you please.

Athens International Airport (ATH) is approximately 9 hours from Corfu by car or bus and ferry.

BUS
To get to Corfu, from Athens to Igoumenitsa by bus, then from Igoumenitsa to Kerkyra or Lefkimi by Ferry-Boat. There are daily departures from Athens Bus terminal (KTEL, 100 Kifissou str., Athens) to Corfu. Tickets should be bought in advance if you want to be assured of a seat. The distance from Athens to Igoumenitsa is about 500 km and the trip lasts 7-8 hours. From Igoumenitsa you must take the Ferry-Boat to Corfu Town or Lefkimi. The distance is 18 n.m., and the trip lasts 1h 45min and 1h 30min respectively.

There are also daily departures from Salonica Bus terminal to Igoumenitsa. The trip from Salonica to Igoumenitsa lasts about 8 hours. From Igoumenitsa you must take the Ferry-Boat to Corfu Town or Lefkimi.

SEA
Corfu is connected by ferry with many different ports.

To begin with, ferries from Igoumenitsa and Patra on the mainlsnd depart for Corfu frequently, almost on a daily basis.

The route from Igoumenitsa to Corfu lasts 1-2 hours, while travelling from Patra to Corfu takes about 7 hours.

Corfu is easily accessible from Italy, too. More particularly, ferries to Corfu depart from the ports of Venice, Bari and Ancona.

In order to reach Corfu from Athens, you need to travel to Patra first by car or KTEL bus. You can find more specific information about itineraries on www.ktelattikis.gr.

Ferries and hydrofoils bob back and forth between Corfu and its neighbouring Ionian Islands on a pretty regular basis.

AIR
There are scheduled Flights to Corfu Ioannis Kapodistrias Airport (CFU) to and from the mainland and many major cities in the world.

Corfu Airport is located 2.7km from the city of Corfu. It receives flights from Athens and Thessaloniki all year round.

The flight time from Athens to Corfu is 1 hour.

In summer Corfu also receives charters and direct flights from abroad.
